Norton ACC

Living, Growing, Sharing Jesus Christ

Norton ACC has been around for over 50 years, and were in the process of beginning an interior renovation. Alongside updating their interior, they asked me to help establish an identity, starting with a logo and a website refresh. Well, the snowball began rolling, and before we knew it, we had created those plus new brochures, postcards, a sticker design, livestream videos, and more!

building a brand

Part of making a brand comes with establishing all of the “rules” of the branding, such as which colors should be used, creating spacing guidelines, having font defaults, etc.

Sometimes the best way to communicate these rules is through a book (almost like a Brand “Bible”). Below are some excerpts from the book which show some of the guidelines to help the church be consistent in their branding.

a new website

10 years ago, if you wanted to learn about a church, the best way to do that would be to visit it on a Sunday. Nowadays, people’s first stop when church shopping is their website and social media.

I updated Norton ACC’s entire website, taking it from a couple of simple pages to over a dozen, all designed to be more informative, accessible, inviting, and (most importantly) easily updated. take a look! www.nortonacc.org

brochures & postcards

In addition to digital resources, the church wanted to do a better job accommodating first-time visitors, so they asked me to make some printed materials as well. I designed 2 tri-fold brochures intended for first-timers and a postcard for their congregation to keep on hand and give to their friends and neighbors.

about the church

Norton ACC’s vision is to be a community of devoted believers commited to living their faith to God’s glory, strengthening and growing their fellowship, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

find out more

If you’re in the greater Akron area, the best way to get more information is to visit Norton ACC on an upcoming Sunday! If you live faraway, check out their website and livestream and get connected from there. I was honored to be able to help with their branding, and hope you’ll check them out!
